3 Quotes To Think About

Tony Detroit

As I go through reading a set of books at the moment, I wanted to share a few quotes that have stood out. I plan to write more about the lessons these books, as well as the books I haven’t delved into yet, have taught me. I like to keep track of my favorite quotes because, at times, it's what helps me summarize my understanding of a piece of work. Of course, there are moments where | highlight everything I read as well. Too many moments to count. Here are my top 3 quotes for this week:)

"When you're done writing the story, no matter what else happens, you've changed your life.” – John Truby, The Anatomy of Story

"You should know that before all else that guidance, which is the fruit of knowledge, has a beginning and an end, an outward aspect and an inward essence." - Al-Ghazali, The Beginning of Guidance

“If what I see is viewed as unacceptable, the result is that I learn not to see what is so, in a misguided attempt to make myself believe I am the way I’ve been taught I should be.” - Cheri Huber, How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be
