Being that this is the 10th Unlearning Blog post, it’s fitting to remind you to do the same. Whether you’ve previously thought about it or not, start a blog before 2021 ends. Putting yourself out there is not easy but showing your work is a great way to attract like-minded individuals. I kept this post short so it doesn’t defeat the purpose. The following are 3 reasons why you should start one now:)

To build Consistency

Being consistent is currency right now. There are more distractions than ever before. There also are more routes to get to your preferred destination. If you can stay committed and consistent then you’re on your way to long-term rewards.

Habit formation, according to James Clear, is especially difficult because there isn’t immediate feedback and assessing progress is difficult. Therefore, actively building consistency will reward those that embrace actionable tasks.

Improve your writing

This is about your style of writing and finding your voice. Figuring out who you are as well as finding a starting point can be achieved through writing. You don’t have to be a great writer but the best way to improve upon a skill is to continue practicing.

Pick a topic or a question and explore where that takes you. If it’s not encouraging curiosity then you can abandon it and go in another direction.

Have your space and platform for your writing

Having your own site, not just on another platform, is critical to creating a space for your thoughts. Ownership is critical since this will serve as a way for you to expand or minimize as much as you would like.

Ultimately a blog is a great way to build and solidify your brand. Yes, a blog is for you even if you don’t want a brand. But the only requirement is to start today.
